Kocheriya Kunjuninan, the third son of Polachirackal Kocheriya Tharakan, married Achiamma, the daughter of the famous Kunjumathunni Tharakan of Anniyil, Kattanam. He was engaged in agriculture and trade and settled in Anniyil, Kattanam. The couple had seven children, including five sons and two daughters.
The sons were:
1. Geevarghese Tharakan (Moothakunj) married Achiyamma from Eraviperoor
Sankaramangalam
2. Cheriyan Tharakan (Pappiyachan) married Mariamma from Chathannoor Manjadivilakam
3. Oommen Tharakan (Kochumman), married Akkamma from Ayiroor Kurudamannil
4. Fr. P.C Ninan (Veettinalachan) married Sosamma, daughter of Veettinal Panikkar from
Mavelikara Vazhuvady
5. Mathunni Tharakan (Kochukunj) married Saramma from Njarakkadu family near
Mavelikkara
The daughters were:
1. Annamma married to Idichandy from Ponvanibathu, Kayamkulam. (Annamma's daughter
was the late Mother Huba SIC of the Bethany Monastery)
2. Mariamma, married to T. O Oommen from Eraviperoor Thaiparambil
This is a 90 year old family house which is still existing
Played a vital role in the formation of Kudumbayogam and collection of historical information for Kudumbacharitram. He is one of the past presidents of the Kudumbayogam and was also the principal of St.John's College, Anchal.
